Dr. Reckeweg Jut-U-Sin R8 cough syrup effectively addresses catarrhal conditions of the upper respiratory passages, including rhinolaryngopharyngitis, bronchitis, and whooping cough at all stages. It serves as an expectorant in chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, and phthisis with persistent cough fits.
Mode of Action of Main Ingredients:
- Ammonium causticum: Relieves convulsive cough with abundant loose mucus.
- Belladonna: Alleviates hollow, barking cough with dry mucous membranes.
- Bryonia: Eases harsh, dry cough and chest pain.
- Chamomilla: Reduces convulsive cough, catarrh, hoarseness, and nighttime dry cough with mucus in the throat.
- Coccus cacti: Treats hypersensitive pharyngeal mucosa with spasmodic cough and sticky, glairy mucus.
- Corallium rubrum: Relieves intense convulsive cough with choking fits.
- Cuprum aceticum: Soothes spasmodic cough, dyspnea, and viscous mucus.
- Drosera: Helps in convulsive cough with cyanosis and suffocation, easing spasmodic asthma.
- Ipecacuanha: Eases dry, asphyxiant cough with glottis spasms, nausea, and nighttime cough.
- Thymus vulgaris: Acts as an expectorant.
Dosage
- Start with 1 teaspoon (5ml) every hour. Alternate hourly between the cough syrup and cough drops. After 2-3 days, when symptoms lessen, take the syrup every 2 hours.
- Non-Specific Catarrhs Following Whooping Cough: Take 1 teaspoon 4-6 times daily.
- Acute Bronchitis and Laryngopharyngitis: Take 1 teaspoon every 2-3 hours.
