Description
Dr. Reckeweg R48 drops addresses pulmonary weakness and the initial stages of tuberculous diseases. It serves as a complementary remedy for bronchial asthma, chronic pulmonary catarrh, and cough caused by excessive smoking. This remedy is also effective for various catarrhal affections of the upper air passages, alleviating weakness and pain between the shoulder blades, weariness, and nocturnal perspiration.
Mode of Action of Main Ingredients:
- Acidum picrinicum: Relieves lassitude and burning pains in and between the shoulder blades.
- Bryonia: Reduces catarrh and irritation in the costal pleura, indicated in pleurisy, which may lead to tuberculosis.
- Dulcamara: Addresses symptoms resulting from drenching in hydrogenoid constitution and alleviates pressure on the shoulders.
- Ferrum phosphoricum: Acts after a cold with irritation of the upper air passages, providing tonic support in feverish bronchitis, peribronchitis, and pulmonary tuberculosis with febrile temperatures.
- Kalium carbonicum: Treats nocturnal perspiration and weakness between the shoulder blades, often seen as pre-tuberculous symptoms.
- Lycopodium: Supports liver function and detoxification.
- Sepia: Provides a general tonic effect, combating weariness, weakness, and fatigue.
- Silicea: Effective against pulmonary inflammation and inflammation of the pulmonary alveoli (hilus gland).
This remedy primarily targets constitutional weakness, particularly in the lungs and pre-tuberculous conditions. It can be used as a tonic in cases of tuberculosis to improve overall constitution and as a complementary remedy for bronchial asthma and weakness from colds.
